Conference Announcement: posted Dec 1, 2004

12th IFAC Symposium on Information Control Problems in Manufacturing INCOM’2006 www.emse.fr/incom06/call_for_papers.html

The Symposium offers you and your colleagues the advantages of the IFAC publication policy: INCOM'06 publishes Preprints Volumes with full selected papers (before the Symposium) and Proceedings Volumes by Elsevier Sciences as post-conference books. The Proceedings Volumes include all presented at Symposium papers. In addition, INCOM06 offers large opportunities for publication of your extended papers in scientific journals.

Organized by the prestigious Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de St Etienne (ENSM.SE), which is an elite French Graduate School (in TOP 10) founded by a royal decree in 1816, INCOM'06 Symposium is dedicated to the ENSM.SE’s jubilee.

The Symposium is already sponsored by eleven IFAC technical committees and by three IFIP Working groups. The main sponsor is the IFAC Technical Committee 5.1 “Manufacturing Plant Control”.

SYMPOSIUM TOPICS - e-Solutions to Plan and Design of Manufacturing System - Facilities Planning and Materials Handling - Inventory Control, Production Planning and Scheduling - Monitoring, Diagnosis and Maintenance of Manufacturing Systems - Web-enabled Manufacturing Control and Wireless Automation - Process Modeling and Information Systems within the Extended Enterprise - Socio-technical and Cognitive Aspects of Automation - Intelligent Manufacturing Systems Modeling and Applications - Distributed Systems and Multi-agents Technologies - Discrete Event Systems Simulation in Manufacturing - Operational Research Applications in CAD/CAM/CAE

Important Dates:

  • Deadline for paper submission: October 1st, 2005
  • Notification of paper acceptance/rejection: January 6, 2006
  • Deadline for final version: March 1, 2006

Welcome to the web site for the International Society for Enterprise Engineering (ISEE). We are a professional society comprised of individuals and member organizations interested in promoting Enterprise Engineering (EE). It is an independent, non-profit organization with membership that includes industry, government, and academic representation. The ISEE provides a forum for discussing the latest advances in EE through papers at conferences, panel discussion, computer tools exhibits, workshops, and the latest facility - the ISEE World Wide Web (WWW) site.

Enterprise Engineering (ISEE definition)
"The body of knowledge, principles, and disciplines related to the analysis, design, implementation and operation of all elements associated with an enterprise." EE methods include modeling, cost analysis, simulation, workflow analysis, bottleneck analysis. EE concepts include TQM, JIT, change management, and value added analysis.

What is Enterprise Engineering?

A paper and a presentation are available from the Engineering Enterprise Engineering Group at the Automation & Robotics Research Institute at The University of Texas at Arlington.
