WHAT IS SONLIGHT CURRICULUM? Sonlight Curriculum is a literature-rich home education program, with an historical focus and a world-wide Christian missionary emphasis. The founders, John and Sarita Holzmann, are passionate believers in the Charlotte Mason philosophy of education, , based on living books, rather than textbooks. They coordinate the schedules of the history books, readers for the children, and read-alouds, so that you can focus on teaching. They also provide study guides for all the books. Reading and Language Arts are integrated with the core programs, so that students above 3rd grade read and write about historical fiction set in the era they are studying. Sonlight Curriculum offers complete math and science choices as well as electives and parent resources.

Membership Information We meet as an informal group of families who use Sonlight Curriculum in our home schools. We usually get together twice a month, once for the moms only on the first Friday evening, and once for a children's activity. We have no membership dues, but we do ask that you attend at least one moms' meeting to be considered an active member. At the monthly meetings, we plan the field trips and discuss a "teacher topic", such as the various math curricula available. We also have refreshments and plenty of time for getting to know each other through informal sharing. We hope you can join us! Our support group is a member of Wichita's Teaching Parent Association, the organization which provides the home school convention and many other services to our community.
